Why Casa Alma

Why people stay with us

House cleaning is a trust business before it is a cleaning business. You are handing someone a key. Here is exactly what we do with it.

Casa Alma seal: insured and bonded

Insured and bonded

The paperwork exists, and you can see it

General liability insurance and a bond, plus a background check on every person who enters a home. Ask and we send you the certificate before the first visit. In this county people ask, and they should.

We also keep a key log: who holds which key or code, since when, and whether it came back. If we ever stop working together, you get a written confirmation that the key was returned.

The House Book

We write your house down

How we get in

Key, lockbox code, keypad, or you open the door. The alarm and how to disarm it. Where to park, which matters more than people think.

The house itself

Square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor types. Pets by name, whether they can be left loose. Products you do not want in the house.

Your instructions, room by room

Cushions upright. The upstairs desk is off limits. Towels folded in three. The vase is grandmother. Each one can carry a photo.

The do-not-touch list

Written, photographed and read before anyone starts. It is the shortest list in the book and the most important one.

Proof of work

Photographed before and after

Every visit is photographed: the rooms as we found them and as we left them. You see them in your own portal, with the date and time on each one. It is how we settle a question in ten seconds instead of a conversation, and it is how a new cleaner learns your house.

Our first before-and-after set from Marin homes goes here as soon as we have client permission to publish it.

Questions

The ones we get asked

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. We carry general liability insurance and we are bonded. We will send you the certificate before the first visit if you want to see it.

Do I get the same cleaner every time?

Yes, that is the whole point. The same person, on the same day, who already knows your house. If she is ever out, whoever covers reads the House Book first so nothing changes for you.

What is the House Book?

A written record of your home: how we get in, where the pets are, which products you do not want us to use, and how you like things done, room by room, with photos. It is why the second visit is better than the first.

Do I have to be home?

No. Most of our clients are not. We agree on how we get in, we log it, and we leave you a note about what we did when we finish.

How do I pay?

Zelle, Venmo, check, cash or card. Whatever is easiest for you. You get a receipt either way.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes, everything. If you prefer we use your products, or you need us to avoid something for an allergy or a finish, we write it in the House Book and it never gets forgotten.

What if something breaks?

You hear it from us first, the same day, with a photo. Then we fix it. That is the rule.

Se habla espanol?

Si. Todo el equipo habla espanol e ingles, y podemos coordinar todo por mensaje en el idioma que prefieras.
